I know you have uploaded a Video in your YouTube Channel but you are not able to monetize it because you do not own the commercial right of that music which is used video.
YouTube has very very strict guideline for monetizing your video. For example if you have recorded a video of crowd at any public event, then that video clip is not eligible for YouTube Monetization because you don’t own the commercial right of the audio. In the same manner if you had created a photo slideshow using some other music like downloaded from iTunes, then also your video can’t be monetized.
What Happen When You Upload with No Commercial Right to Audio
When we upload such videos either it is removed by YouTube for copyright infringement or still YouTube will host it but revenue is not being shared with you but it is shared with Music Owner. How To Monetize YouTube Videos that Contain Someone Else Music
You can swap their background music with Royalty free music of YouTube track library and republishing them. By doing this you can make those videos eligible for YouTube Monetization.
Follow this Steps :
Step 1<< Go to Video Manager in YouTube.
Step 2<< Now Select “unclaimed” or “not Monetized” for videos from drop down. This will show all those videos whose monetization is pending.
Step 3<< You will see grey icon which shows that video is not monetized as in image.
Step 4<< If it is an audio issue you can fix it easily. We will replace the music with another song which can be monetized. For this click “edit” tab and then select “audio”.
Step 5<< Choose any music from YouTube library and set the audio such that it cover the entire video.
Step 6<< Click Save it will replace your original music with song you had chosen.
Now Wait for sometime until your track get mixed with the old original one. Once the process is complete go back to the video manager and choose edit option, now move to monetization tab and select usage policy from now you can Monetize YouTube Videos that Contain Someone Else Music.
Limitation :- Choice is limited as you can choose only those tracks which are available inside YouTube Music Library.
